On the 25th, their agency YG Entertainment announced that the solo concert "2024 2NE1 CONCERT WELCOME BACK IN SEOUL" will be held on October 5-6 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park.

This will be 2NE1's first solo concert in about 10 years and 6 months since "[ALL OR NOTHING] in SEOUL" in 2014. After announcing their disbandment in November 2016, 2NE1 recently met with Yang Hyun-suk, the executive producer of YG Entertainment, to discuss a new project and decided to hold a concert commemorating their 15th debut anniversary.

The concert title "WELCOME BACK" expresses the sentiment of welcoming 2NE1 back together with their fans. The collaboration between 2NE1 and executive producer Yang Hyun-suk is expected to create exceptional synergy. Previously, Yang Hyun-suk promised full support for 2NE1's comeback. Combining YG's expertise gained through world tours and the members' unwavering live performance skills, the event is anticipated to be a festive occasion marking a new chapter for 2NE1.

Composed of CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Gong Minji, 2NE1 debuted in 2009 and became a representative girl group of the second generation with hit songs like "Fire" and "I Am the Best." After announcing their disbandment in 2016, they released their final song "GOOD BYE" in January of the following year.

They also showcased their enduring presence by performing as a complete group at the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the United States.

YG Entertainment explained, "Since this year marks the monumental 15th anniversary of their debut and a dramatic reunion with 2NE1, there was a strong determination to start their performances within this year. Although concerts at World Hall in Kobe, Japan, at the end of November and at Ariake Arena in Tokyo in early December have been confirmed, the members strongly expressed their desire to open the tour domestically first, which we actively reflected."

They added, "With the announcement of the Seoul concert, high expectations have poured in, so intense ticketing competition is anticipated. We deeply regret not being able to share the stage with more domestic audiences, but we will repay with a high-quality performance and return with better news in the future, so please look forward to it."

Starting with the Seoul concert, 2NE1 will embark on a global tour including performances in Kobe, Japan in November and Tokyo in December.
