Pharmaceutical Bio Association Marking Its 80th Anniversary Next Year... Plans to Strengthen Public Promotion

The Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association is launching a nationwide public relations campaign to promote the "Pharmaceutical and Bio Industry with the People" in celebration of its 80th anniversary in 2025.

On the 24th, the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association announced on the 25th that it reached this consensus at the first meeting of the Public Relations and Compilation Committee for the 80th Anniversary Project held at the Kensington Hotel in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

The Public Relations and Compilation Committee consists of 12 members (in alphabetical order): Chairman Joo Wook-je (President of Yuhan Corporation), Bae Dae-gil (Executive Director of Chong Kun Dang), Professor Shim Sung-wook of Hanyang University’s Department of Advertising and Public Relations, Oh Geun-bae (CEO of Donghaeng Planning), Lee Taek-gi (Director of Dongwha Pharm), Jang Young-joo (CEO of The J & Partners), Jang Woo-soon (Executive Director of the Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association), Jang Woo-hyuk (Director of Enzyme), Jang Pyung-joo (Vice President of GC Green Cross), Professor Jeong Jae-hoon of Jeonbuk National University College of Pharmacy, Choi Cheon-ok (Executive Director of Hanlim Pharm), and Choi Ho-jin (Advisor of Dong-A Pharm). The committee will establish and execute major public relations plans related to the 80th anniversary celebration.

At the meeting, the committee discussed the basic concept of the public relations and compilation project, including ▲ the creation of an emblem and slogan ▲ publication of the association’s 80-year history ▲ establishment of a digital (online) history hall ▲ production of an industry awareness campaign (Pharmaceutical and Bio Travelogue) ▲ and an advertising and public relations campaign exhibition. The committee members agreed on the importance of highlighting the socio-economic value of the pharmaceutical and bio industry, which contributes to improving the health and quality of life of the public, and planned to design and implement detailed projects under the broad direction of presenting the industry not as an exclusive celebration but as an "industry with the people," emphasizing its strengths and the vision of becoming a pharmaceutical powerhouse. The committee plans to finalize detailed execution plans and schedules for each project in the future.

Chairman Joo Wook-je said, “Numerous pharmaceutical and bio companies are tirelessly striving and challenging themselves to improve the health, life, and quality of life of the people,” adding, “We will actively reflect these aspects in the public relations and compilation project marking the association’s 80th anniversary and widely promote that this is an industry with the people.” Vice Chairman Lee Jae-guk of the Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association also stated, “The 80th anniversary event will be prepared as a nationwide event befitting the industry’s status,” and added, “We will prepare public relations strategies that respond to the changing times so that the association and the industry can be trusted and supported by the public.”
