Hoban Group Donates 100 Million KRW for Flood Recovery to Dangjin-si, Chungnam

Planned Use for Flood Victims Support Including Restoration of Flooded Homes and Facilities

Hoban Group announced on the 25th that it has donated 100 million KRW to the Chungnam branch of the Korean Red Cross to help with flood recovery in Dangjin City, Chungnam Province, which was damaged by heavy rain.

The donation ceremony held on the 24th was attended by Oh Seong-hwan, Mayor of Dangjin, Kim Seon-gyu, Chairman of Hoban Group, Song Jong-min, Vice Chairman of Korea Electric Wire, and Moon Eun-su, Director of the Chungnam branch of the Korean Red Cross.

Since the beginning of this month, Dangjin City has suffered significant damage to infrastructure such as traditional markets, schools submerged in water, roads, and houses due to heavy rain. The donation from Hoban Construction will be used for the restoration of flooded houses and facilities, as well as support for the citizens of Dangjin.

Mayor Oh Seong-hwan of Dangjin said, "We are grateful for the donation for our region," and added, "As you participate in social contribution activities with such a heart, our city will also do its best to promptly restore the damage and prevent disaster safety."

Kim Seon-gyu, Chairman of Hoban Group, said, "I extend my sincere condolences to the citizens affected by the heavy rain," and added, "I hope this donation will help the quick recovery of the flood-affected areas and the revival of the local economy."

Hoban Group has been continuously supporting natural disaster recovery efforts. Last year, it also donated 100 million KRW to aid in the recovery from large-scale forest fire damage and support for disaster victims in Chungnam.
