Suwon City will hold the national flower Mugunghwa exhibition from the end of this month to mid-next month.
An exhibition of the national flower Mugunghwa will be held consecutively in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.
On the 25th, Suwon City announced that it will hold the "2024 National Flower Mugunghwa Exhibition" from the 27th of this month to the 18th of next month at Yeongheung Forest Park, Haenggung-dong Workshop Street, Suwon Mugunghwa Garden, and Yeonmu Market.
First, Suwon City will display about 100 potted Mugunghwa plants in front of the visitor center at Yeongheung Arboretum. A Mugunghwa garden harmonized with summer flowers will be created to present a new type of model garden.
The exhibition at Haenggung-dong Workshop Street will take place along a 400m stretch from Paldalmun Tourist Information Center to the entrance of Hwaseong Haenggung parking lot. About 40 potted Mugunghwa plants will be displayed, and experiential events will be prepared in collaboration with the Workshop Street Merchants Association.
Suwon Mugunghwa Garden (58 Seodun-ro) will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays during the exhibition period. The Mugunghwa exhibition at Yeonmu Market will be held in August. Twenty Mugunghwa pots will be displayed along a 500m stretch from the entrance of Yeonmu Market to the intersection near Seven Eleven Gyeonggi University branch.
Photo zones will be installed on the streets where the Mugunghwa exhibition is held, and an event to distribute Mugunghwa seedlings to citizens for free will also take place. The seedling distribution events will be held on ▲ July 27 at Haenggung-dong Workshop Street ▲ August 3 at Yeongheung Forest Park ▲ August 10 at Yeonmu Market.
A Suwon City official said, "This exhibition will allow citizens to feel the beauty of the national flower Mugunghwa," and added, "We hope many citizens visit the exhibition to appreciate the Mugunghwa and participate in the sharing event to grow Mugunghwa plants."
