Positive Impact on Local Residents... Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters Accepting Applications for 'Scholarships for University Students in Surrounding Areas'

Gampo-eup, Munmu-daewang-myeon, and Yangnam-myeon: Local Residents Who Have Lived for Over 3 Years Since Application Date

Wolsong Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power is accepting scholarship applications from university students who are children of local residents living near the power plant from June 22 to August 2, in order to ease the financial burden of tuition for these families.

Eligible applicants are local residents or their children who have resided for at least three years as of the application date in the areas near Wolsong Nuclear Power Plant, specifically Gampo-eup, Munmu-daewang-myeon, and Yangnam-myeon, and who are currently enrolled in a regular curriculum at a university recognized under the Higher Education Act (excluding students on leave of absence). The scholarship amount ranges from 1,000,000 to 1,200,000 KRW.

To apply, applicants must prepare the required documents, including the application form, certificate of enrollment, and a copy of their bankbook, and submit them either by mail or by visiting the first floor of the Wolsong Sports Center in Yangnam-myeon.

Last year, Wolsong Nuclear Power Plant provided scholarships totaling approximately 270 million KRW to 255 university students.
