Osan-si Signs Agreement with Local Organizations and Universities to Promote Youth Volunteerism

Osan City Youth Council, Hanshin University, Osan College, and Osan City Volunteer Center Participate

On the 23rd, Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 24th that it signed a 'Business Agreement for the Activation of Youth Volunteerism' at the city hall situation room with the Osan City Youth Council, Hanshin University, Osan University, and Osan City Volunteer Center.

This agreement was made for mutual cooperation to promote youth social contribution activities, build a sustainable local community, and contribute to the creation of social value.

Attendees at the signing ceremony included Lee Gwon-jae, Mayor of Osan, Seo Yoo-jin, representative of the Osan City Youth Council, Kang Seong-young, president of Hanshin University, Heo Nam-yoon, president of Osan University, and Lee Kyung-yong, chairman of the Osan City Volunteer Center.

The signatory organizations agreed to jointly work on ▲ establishing governance to promote community-linked volunteer activities ▲ supporting volunteer activities to understand and solve community issues ▲ sharing information and promotional activities to expand volunteer activities.

According to the agreement, Osan City plans to build a cooperative governance system that can strengthen the sustainability of volunteer participation and discover volunteer programs led by the youth to solve local community problems.

Mayor Lee Gwon-jae said, "Through this agreement, the five organizations will strengthen their partnership and do their best to create a model case for activating youth volunteerism."
