Cheongsong County in North Gyeongsang Province will operate the educational program "Creating Characters from Cheongsong Folktales" at the Cheongsong Yasong County Art Museum from July 27 to December 31.
This educational program aims to instill a proper sense of local history in students through Cheongsong's regional folktales and to increase their interest in literature and art. Participants will learn about various folktales that have been passed down in the Cheongsong area and will also have the opportunity to create characters and objects that appear in these stories.
The program is open to students aged 6 to 16 who reside in Cheongsong County, as well as museum visitors (including kindergarteners). Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis by applying at the Yasong Art Museum office.
Each session accepts a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 participants.
County Governor Yoon Kyunghee said, "I hope this art museum educational program will provide an opportunity to explore our region's literature and history together," adding, "We plan to continue developing a variety of art museum programs for the cultural and leisure activities of residents and tourists in the future."
