The National Police Agency announced on the 24th that it held a 'Business Agreement Ceremony for the Promotion of Jeju Police Training Institution' with Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.

This business agreement is aimed at establishing a specialized training institution for the mental and physical recovery and psychological stability of injured police officers. In the future, a working-level consultative body will be formed to regularly discuss the promotion schedule and detailed matters.
Oh Young-hoon, Governor of Jeju Province, emphasized, "Since attracting a police training institution is expected to have positive effects such as revitalizing the local economy of Jeju, we will support the smooth promotion of the project through organic and active cooperation with the National Police Agency."
Yoon Hee-geun, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, said, "The Jeju police training institution will primarily target police officers who have been injured or find it difficult to work on-site due to trauma," adding, "Through special training, we will help our wounded colleagues return healthily to the security field."
