Jinju Participates in the 9th Korea International Tourism Fair

National Heritage Media Art at Jinju Fortress, Cultural Heritage Night Walk
Active Promotion of M2 Festival and Other August Vacation Tourism Events

Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 24th that it participated in the 9th Korea International Tourism Fair held at KINTEX in Ilsan to promote Jinju's major tourism resources.


This fair was hosted by the Korea International Tourism Fair Organizing Committee and the Korea Local Newspaper Association, with 113 local governments and 85 organizations participating to promote regional tourism content and share tourism information, serving as a platform for exchange.

At this fair, the city focused on promoting Jinju's upcoming summer festivals to attract tourists during the August vacation season. These include the 'National Heritage Media Art Jinju Castle' held under the theme 'Onsaemiro Jinju-seongdo' at Jinju Castle from August 2 to 25, the 'Jinju Cultural Heritage Night Tour' from August 15 to 17, and the 'Jinju M2 Festival' at Mangyeong-dong Namgang riverside from August 9 to 10.


In addition, the city held a subscription event for its mascot 'Hamo' on social media, and on the 20th, a surprise visit by 'Hamo' delighted visitors to the fair, receiving a great response.


A city official said, "We hope that many people will visit Jinju City through this fair and take home memories of a dazzling summer night," and added, "We will continue to strive to promote the unique emotions that can only be felt in Jinju City through a variety of tourism content and publicity."
