Gyeonggi Province will establish a 'Future Committee' directly under the Governor of Gyeonggi Province to discover creative ideas from various sectors of society and realize them as policies.
The Future Committee will play a key role in envisioning the desirable future of Gyeonggi Province, designing policies in reverse to achieve that vision, and collaborating with relevant departments to implement the planned policies. It will also promote experimental projects with a pilot project nature.
To this end, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 24th that it will recruit citizens with innovative ideas and passion for the future until August 13.
There are no restrictions on age, gender, occupation, or residence; anyone with a young heart and mind can apply. Gyeonggi Province will select about 25 members through document screening, including application forms.
The Future Committee will hold regular meetings about twice a month, freely exchanging ideas in a brainstorming format to discover creative policies. Governor Kim Dong-yeon will also attend the meetings once a month. The meetings will be conducted freely in formats such as forums, discussions, field visits, and online meetings.
Applications to participate in the Future Committee can be submitted after checking the announcement on the Gyeonggi Provincial Government website (www.gg.go.kr) or the Gyeonggi Voice website (www.vog.gg.go.kr).
Kim Seong-won, Director of the Opportunity Strategy Office of Gyeonggi Province, said, "Unlike existing committees where members were designated and participation was limited, we have opened the door for anyone with innovative ideas to participate through open recruitment," adding, "This will be a great opportunity for those who want to realize their innovative and creative ideas as policies."
