Concerns Over Detachment of Handle Fixing Parts
The Korea Consumer Agency announced on the 24th that it will conduct a voluntary recall of the KitchenArt 'Olga IH Single Handle Pot 18cm' product, which may have a detachable handle fixing part.

Earlier, the Consumer Agency received hazard information reporting that the rivet (a mushroom-shaped nail with a rounded head) fixing the handle to the main body of the pot had come off during cooking, and launched an investigation.
As a result of the investigation, it was estimated that the aluminum rivet and stainless steel cap used in the handle connection part of the product could separate due to expansion caused by heat during cooking, causing the cap to detach.
The importer of the product, E&K, accepted the Consumer Agency's voluntary recall recommendation and decided to refund the purchase price or exchange defective products free of charge with improved products among the 34,751 units sold from April 2019 to June this year.
The Consumer Agency urged, "Consumers who possess defective products should immediately stop using them and contact the importer E&K's customer service center or email to receive prompt action."
Detailed recall information can be found on the Consumer24 website, the Korea Consumer Agency website, and the Consumer Hazard Monitoring System.
