Minkyung Wook, Head of KOSDAQ Market Division
On the 23rd, the Korea Exchange held the 3rd extraordinary general meeting of shareholders at its Seoul office and announced the appointment of Min Kyung-wook, a specialist at the Korea Exchange, as the Head of the KOSDAQ Market Division (Executive Director).
Min, the newly appointed head, is a market expert with comprehensive capabilities in market operations and organizational management. He is regarded as the right person to address recent challenges faced by the KOSDAQ market, such as enhancing market soundness through improvements in the delisting system, restructuring the market framework, and strengthening KOSDAQ's competitiveness.
Since joining the Exchange in 1994, Min has accumulated extensive market management experience based on rich market knowledge from corporate entry to exit, having served as the head of the KOSDAQ Listing Review Team and the Corporate Review Team. Notably, in 2019, he served as the head of the newly established KOSDAQ Listing Management Department, created to facilitate the smooth delisting of insolvent companies, where he laid the foundation for substantive eligibility reviews for listing. Over the past three years, he has served as the Deputy Head of the Management Support Division, deriving key tasks for fostering the Exchange's future growth engines and efficiently managing the organization and human resources, thereby enhancing his capabilities as a management executive.
The term of office for the Head of the KOSDAQ Market Division is three years, until July 23, 2027.
