Happiness Alliance and Gyeongbuk Community Child Center Support Group Collaborate
‘Boulangerie-gil’ Bread Added to Support 124 Children in Gumi City
LIG Nex1 (CEO Shin Ikhyun) is collaborating with the social contribution network Happy Alliance (Secretariat: Happy Narae Co., Ltd.) to provide 1,240 Happy Lunchboxes to 124 children at risk of food insecurity in Gumi City.
At the delivery ceremony held on the 23rd at the office of the Gyeongbuk Support Group for Local Children's Centers in Gumi City, Gyeongbuk, attendees included Jung Changgyun, Head of Production Support at LIG Nex1; Lee Jungwoo, CEO of Boulangerie Gil; Kwon Hyunjin, Head of the Gyeongbuk Support Group for Local Children's Centers; Lim Eunmi, Head of Happy Narae; and Kim Gwiwha, CEO of Matsarang.
This project was planned to support children at risk of missing meals due to family circumstances and economic difficulties during the summer vacation when school meals are suspended. LIG Nex1 is providing 10 million KRW for the lunchbox supply and bread products worth about 3 million KRW. The bread is produced directly by ‘Boulangerie Gil’, a subsidiary-type standard workplace for people with disabilities.
Jung Changgyun, Head of Production Support at LIG Nex1, said, “We will do our best not only to support meals for vulnerable groups but also to faithfully fulfill our corporate social responsibilities, such as coexisting with the local community.”
