Yangsan City in Gyeongnam operated a promotional booth at the 9th Korea Tourism Expo, held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi from the 18th to the 22nd, promoting Yangsan tourism to citizens of Seoul and the metropolitan area.
This expo, co-hosted by the KITS Organizing Committee and the Korea Local Newspaper Association, featured about 450 promotional booths, including an international pavilion, local governments, and tourism companies. It offered a wealth of attractions by fostering cooperation between domestic and international tourism, as well as operating promotional booths highlighting the unique characteristics and tourist sites of each municipality.
The city focused on promoting Yangsan's top tourist destinations, the Yangsan 8 Scenic Spots, and local specialties, as well as popular summer vacation spots such as Naewonsa Valley, Hongryong Waterfall, and Baenaegol. To promote Yangsan's famous Wondong Maehwa Village, the city hosted events such as a plum mist-making experience, tastings of local specialties like Wondong plum tea and Baenaegol apple juice, and a bowling event, providing enjoyment and fun for many visitors and receiving an enthusiastic response.
An official from Yangsan City stated, "By participating in this expo, we were able to promote Yangsan's excellent tourism resources externally," and added, "We will continue to actively market Yangsan as a tourist city that people want to visit."
