Exchange Hosts the 20th National University Student Securities and Derivatives Competition

The Korea Exchange announced on the 23rd that it will hold the "20th National University Student Securities and Derivatives Competition" to support research activities and provide learning opportunities about the capital market for university students.

The Exchange plans to accept research proposals from next month 5th until September 27th. Eligibility is limited to undergraduate students of four-year universities in Korea (including students on leave, excluding graduate students). Teams must be composed of up to four undergraduate students from the same university.

To participate, applicants must write a research proposal and submit it on the Korea Exchange Securities and Derivatives Research Center website.

Scholarships will be awarded to winners of outstanding securities and derivatives papers. The grand prize will receive a commendation from the Financial Services Commission Chairman, while excellence and encouragement awards will receive commendations from the Korea Exchange Chairman. An additional research support fund will be provided to the 10 teams advancing to the finals.

An official from the Exchange stated, "This competition, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, has established itself as a representative paper competition in the financial sector in terms of history and the prestige of its awards," and added, "We look forward to active participation from university students who have a strong interest in the securities and derivatives markets."
