Sojinkong Implements Organizational Restructuring to Strengthen On-Site Support for Small Business Owners and Traditional Markets

The Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on the 23rd that it has completed organizational restructuring to strengthen the implementation of government policies and on-site support for small business owners and traditional markets, and will carry out personnel appointments accordingly.

With this reorganization, the Small Enterprise and Market Service's structure has changed from the previous 5 headquarters, 1 research center, 1 division, 22 offices, and 7 regional headquarters to 6 headquarters, 1 research center, 22 offices, and 8 regional headquarters.

First, in accordance with the 'Measures for Small Business Owners and Self-Employed,' the business related to re-start support has been strengthened, and the existing Re-Leap Support Division has been reorganized into the Re-Start Support Headquarters.

To concentrate functions related to commercial district information and data management, the Big Data Team, which was previously under the Informatization Strategy Office, has been elevated to the Big Data Office. It will take over the planning and operation tasks of commercial district information and big data functions that were previously handled by the Trend Analysis Office of the Small Business Policy Research Center.

To strengthen on-site close support, the existing Seoul-Gangwon Regional Headquarters has been split into Seoul and Gangwon, and the Gangwon Regional Headquarters has been newly established. This measure was taken in response to ongoing opinions that regional headquarters operations need to consider the regional characteristics and physical distance between Seoul and Gangwon.

Accordingly, the Chuncheon Center in Gangwon region has been promoted to the Gangwon Regional Headquarters, operating as a hybrid organization that performs the roles of both a regional headquarters and a center.
