The Korea Federation of Medium-sized Enterprises (KFME) stated on the 23rd, regarding the passage of the amendment bills to Articles 2 and 3 of the Labor Union Act (commonly known as the Yellow Envelope Act) by the National Assembly's Environment and Labor Committee, that "it will significantly hamper corporate management activities."
In a statement released that day, KFME expressed concern that "it will erode the economic vitality that is barely recovering and create a dangerous environment where unnecessary social conflicts may escalate."
KFME also added, "We hope that the ruling and opposition parties will once again come together to fully suspend the legislative process of the Yellow Envelope Act and seek reasonable measures to establish a foundation for labor-management coexistence and sustainable growth."
