Hunet, Survey of 628 Office Workers
Communication skills were found to be important requirements for team leader leadership.
Hunet announced the results of a survey on 'Team Leader Leadership as Perceived by Office Workers' conducted on 628 office workers on the 23rd.
The majority of respondents (95.9%) believe that the leadership of team leaders has a significant impact on corporate growth, with 58.2% answering that it has a 'very large impact.' Satisfaction with team leaders was rated an average of 3.9 points (out of 5), indicating that respondents are 'generally' or more satisfied with the role of team leaders.
The reasons for satisfaction with team leaders (multiple responses) included 'practical skills' (36.1%), 'communication skills' (34.4%), 'leadership and command ability' (28.7%), and 'being well-mannered, cultured, and knowledgeable' (20.5%). On the other hand, the reasons for dissatisfaction (multiple responses) were 'lack of communication skills' and 'lack of leadership and command ability,' both tied at 28.7% for first place.
Additionally, 98.4% of team members responded that team leaders need self-development. The fields that team leaders should definitely study (multiple responses) were led by 'team/organization management' (46.7%), 'human relationship management' (40.2%), and 'communication skills' (39.3%), showing that team members have high expectations for team leaders' relationship management.
Meanwhile, 53.7% of team leaders answered that they have considered resignation due to feeling a lack of competence. The moments when team leaders feel the most stress (multiple responses) were 'pressure regarding performance' (51.2%), 'teamwork issues' (39.0%), and 'persuading superiors or other departments' (34.1%).
Following this, the fields of self-development for team leaders (multiple responses) were led by 'practical work' (56.1%). 'Human relationship management,' 'team/organization management,' and 'trends' tied for second place (41.5%). 92.7% of team leaders answered that they are engaging in self-development to strengthen their leadership capabilities.
Previously, while team members selected 'relationship management' as the main virtue of team leaders, team leaders showed greater concern about 'performance,' revealing differences according to rank.
