Hanwha Ocean and Hanwha Systems Showcase Naval Capabilities at Australian Maritime Defense Exhibition

Hanwha Group's leading defense companies are participating in the Australian Maritime Defense Exhibition.

Hanwha Ocean and Hanwha Systems will participate in the IODS exhibition held in Perth, Australia, from the 24th to the 26th, showcasing a large number of surface ships, submarines, and various advanced naval equipment. Started in 2018 as a conference to discuss and present the future strategies of global defense technology, IODS has transformed into a large-scale defense exhibition this year.

At this exhibition, Hanwha Ocean will present a total of three types of frigates and the Jangbogo-III Batch-2 submarine. Hanwha Systems will exhibit core equipment that can maximize the combat power of naval vessels, such as the Integrated Combat System (ICS) and the Korean Destroyer Integrated Mast (KDDX I-MAST).

The frigates exhibited by Hanwha Ocean are equipped with the latest weapon systems tailored to the operational requirements of the Royal Australian Navy. Additionally, the Jangbogo-III Batch-2 submarine currently under construction boasts world-class underwater endurance by being the first in the world to simultaneously install an Air-Independent Propulsion (AIP) system and lithium-ion batteries.

Hanwha Systems' ICS is a naval integrated solution that centrally manages advanced equipment to be installed on future naval vessels, centered on the Combat Management System (CMS), which serves as the brain of the ship. The I-MAST is a sensor composite mast that enhances the 'stealth capability' of the ship and is a core piece of equipment for the 6,000-ton class Korean next-generation destroyer (KDDX), the main vessel of the Republic of Korea Navy.

In addition, Hanwha Systems will exhibit total solutions for maritime unmanned systems, including ▲ unmanned surface vessel Haeryeong ▲ unmanned underwater vehicle for anti-submarine reconnaissance ▲ low Earth orbit communication satellites ▲ and maritime manned-unmanned complex systems.
