On Tuesday the 23rd, the Jangma rain will continue mainly in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon region until the morning. Additionally, heatwave warnings will be issued across various parts of the country, with the heat expected to intensify.
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) reported that occasional rain will fall in the central region and northern inland areas of North Gyeongsang Province during the day, and showers are expected in parts of eastern Jeolla and western South Gyeongsang between morning and afternoon. Rain will continue in the Seoul metropolitan area, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, and northern Chungcheongbuk-do until the morning of the 24th.
Expected rainfall amounts until the morning of the 23rd are 50?120 mm in the Seoul metropolitan area (over 150 mm in northern Gyeonggi), 30?80 mm in central and northern inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon (over 120 mm in northern inland and mountainous Gangwon), 10?60 mm in southern inland and mountainous Gangwon, 10?40 mm in northern Chungnam, Sejong, and northern Chungbuk (over 60 mm in northern Chungnam), and 5?20 mm in eastern coastal Gangwon, Daejeon, southern Chungnam, central and southern Chungbuk, and northern inland North Gyeongsang.
From the afternoon of the 23rd to the morning of the 24th, additional rainfall of 20?60 mm is expected in the Seoul metropolitan area, 5?30 mm in Gangwon, 5?20 mm in eastern Jeonbuk, eastern Jeonnam, and western Gyeongnam, and 5?10 mm in Sejong, northern Chungnam, and northern Chungbuk.

The KMA stated that heatwave warnings are in effect in most areas except Seoul, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi, and some inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon. The maximum apparent temperature will rise above 33°C for the time being, making it very hot, and tropical nights will occur in some places, so caution is advised for health management.
Fine dust levels are expected to be 'Good' nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
Sea waves will be 0.5?1.0 m in the East Sea and South Sea coastal waters, and 0.5?2.5 m in the West Sea coastal waters. In the offshore waters (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are predicted to be 0.5?2.0 m in the East Sea, 1.0?3.5 m in the West Sea, and 0.5?1.5 m in the South Sea.
