A man in his 50s has been arrested for killing his wife after an argument.
Buyeo Police Station in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 22nd that they had arrested Mr. A (in his 50s) on suspicion of murder. The Nonsan Branch of Daejeon District Court held a pretrial detention hearing for Mr. A on the same day and issued a warrant for his arrest.
Mr. A is accused of killing his wife, Ms. B (in her 50s), at their home around 2:50 a.m. on the 21st after an argument.
It was found that Mr. A committed the crime after getting into a quarrel with Ms. B, whom he had remarried several years ago.
After telling Mr. C over the phone that he was "going to die," Mr. A attempted to take his own life, but was urgently apprehended by police who responded to Mr. C's report.
The police plan to refer Mr. A to the prosecution.
