Han River Closer Than Ever... Mapo-gu 'Bangulnae Nadeulmok' Opens

Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) has constructed the 'Bangulnae Underpass,' a long-awaited project for residents of Mangwon-dong, and held an opening ceremony on the morning of the 22nd.

Until now, residents of Mangwon-dong had to take a detour to Mapo-gu Office Station intersection when using Seongsan Stream and the Han River, causing inconvenience.

In response, Mapo-gu established the 'Bangulnae Underpass' to resolve the inconvenience caused by the detour for entering and exiting Seongsan Stream, and installed two elevators to enhance convenience for transportation-vulnerable individuals.

The opening ceremony was attended by Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, residents of Mangwon 2-dong, and Mapo-gu council members to celebrate the opening of the Bangulnae Underpass.

Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo-gu said, "With the opening of the Bangulnae Underpass, Seongsan Stream and the Han River connected to it have become much closer," adding, "Mapo-gu will continue to monitor and improve various areas to enhance the walking environment for residents."
