Uljin Nuclear Hydrogen, New Leap Forward: 'Hope Talk Concert with Residents' Held Uljin County Hosting Hope Talk Concert.

This event is organized to commemorate the confirmation of the exemption from the preliminary feasibility study for the Uljin Nuclear Hydrogen National Industrial Complex and to share the vision and direction of the nuclear hydrogen industry with all residents.

Upon the inauguration of the 8th popularly elected administration, Uljin County promoted the "Uljin National Industrial Complex," and was selected as a candidate site in March 2023 by utilizing non-transmission power for hydrogen production strategies and proactively securing tenant companies.

Subsequently, with the confirmation of the exemption from the preliminary feasibility study on June 28, the administrative procedures until the groundbreaking of the national industrial complex have been shortened.

The Uljin Nuclear Hydrogen National Industrial Complex, which will become the central axis of Uljin County's future, is a large-scale industrial complex covering approximately 1.52 million square meters (about 460,000 pyeong) with an investment of about 400 billion KRW. The construction and operation of the Uljin National Industrial Complex are expected to generate an economic impact of over 17 trillion KRW and create more than 37,000 jobs.

Moreover, it is expected to become a core industrial hub that not only brings economic benefits to Uljin County but also leads national economic and regional balanced development through the realization of carbon neutrality.

This talk concert will celebrate the successful launch of the Uljin National Industrial Complex with the participation of Uljin residents who worked together for the exemption, related organizations, and representatives of prospective tenant companies. The event will feature commemorative speeches, congratulatory remarks, performances, the Hope Talk Concert, and the announcement of Uljin County's vision.

In particular, during the "Questions for the County Governor" segment of the Hope Talk Concert, County Governor Son Byeongbok will directly answer questions from Uljin residents regarding the Uljin National Industrial Complex, which were collected via the county office website and text messages from the 1st to the 19th.

Following this, the future direction of county administration, including the hydrogen industry, tourism, local-based industries, and welfare, as well as the vision for Uljin's future, will also be presented.

County Governor Son Byeongbok stated, "Through the Hope Talk Concert, I hope residents will resolve their questions about the Uljin National Industrial Complex and take pride in our county's achievements," and added, "This event will widely publicize the news of the exemption from the preliminary feasibility study for the Uljin National Industrial Complex, serve as an opportunity to share the potential for growth in the nuclear hydrogen industry and regional development, and be an important moment for all residents to share Uljin County's vision."
