Myung Hyun-gwan, the governor of Haenam County, emphasized innovation in county administration by prioritizing integrity at the integrity meeting held on the 22nd.
At the meeting, Governor Myung highlighted the continuous efforts made since the 7th term to create a clean and trustworthy county administration, urging attention to reviewing conventional integrity policies and enhancing integrity within the organization through sincere efforts.

Haenam County is promoting various policies this year to strengthen integrity. New initiatives such as the Integrity Mentorship Program, selection of integrity employees, use of integrity memos, and strengthened guidance on reporting irregularities at the start of projects are being implemented to improve the county administration's integrity.
Governor Myung identified improving integrity as his first directive, with all departments discovering and implementing 46 integrity policies. These are periodically reviewed, and best practices are disseminated to increase public trust in integrity.
At the meeting, Governor Myung emphasized, “Model behavior by senior officials, integrity evaluations based on facts, and responses to civil complaints are important,” adding, “We should take pride in Haenam achieving a second-grade integrity rating for five consecutive years and further embrace integrity as a virtue of public officials and practice it.”
Meanwhile, prior to the briefing session, Governor Myung Hyun-gwan, Deputy Governor Son Myung-do, and all staff pledged to reflect a friendly and integrity-driven attitude in their daily work by introducing integrity name tags.
In this way, Haenam County is striving to elevate the spirit of integrity and become a government trusted by its citizens.
