Gyeongnam Nonghyup Shares Samgyetang for a Healthy Summer with Hope Dream Volunteer Group

Gyeongnam Nonghyup held a Samgyetang sharing event on the 22nd at the Yudeung Village Community Center in Daesan-myeon, Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, together with the Hope Dream Volunteer Group, which is composed of members from the Gyeongnam Provincial Federation of the Nongjumo (Farmers' Housewives Association).


The event was attended by Lee Changhun, Deputy Head of Gyeongnam Nonghyup, Jeong Euil, President of (Changwon) Daesan Nonghyup, Choi Minryeon, President of the Gyeongnam Provincial Nongjumo, along with members, Im Seongun, Head of the township, Kim Jongwoo, Village Chief, Ahn Byeonghwa, President of the Gyeongnam Federation of the Korea Advanced Farmers' Association, and about 30 others.


They shared 200 servings of Samgyetang for the healthy summer of rural village seniors and delivered daily necessities to three locations, including the Yudeung Village Community Center.

Deputy Head Lee said, "We prepared Samgyetang and watermelon with the hope that the seniors will have a healthy and safe summer despite the rainy season and the midsummer heat," and added, "Gyeongnam Nonghyup will continue to practice community contribution activities to grow together with the local community."


President Choi said, "We have been carrying out the Samgyetang sharing event every year with the hope that the seniors in rural areas will spend a healthy summer, and we will continue to practice sharing."


The Hope Dream Volunteer Group consistently carries out various sharing activities every year, such as the 'Chan Chan Chan' side dish sharing project for seniors living alone and marginalized groups, the 'Yeongnonghu Hwangyeongae' agricultural waste collection project for a sustainable future, hometown donation promotion, and helping with farm work during the busy season.
