Through this business agreement, HK Innoen plans to contribute to the project fund, promote volunteer activities by its employees, and cooperate in the donation of pharmaceuticals. The goal is to improve medical accessibility for residents of island areas who have difficulty receiving medical benefits.

The Non-face-to-face Island Doctor project, led by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, was designed to provide stable medical services to island residents in medical blind spots and to enhance medical accessibility. A dedicated island medical system linked with non-face-to-face medical services provided via smartphones will be established to improve medical convenience, including prescription drug delivery, face-to-face medical appointment reservations, and medical record management. Since non-face-to-face medical treatment for island areas was fully permitted starting last year, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries provided the Non-face-to-face Island Doctor service to 294 residents on 20 islands through a pilot project from March to May. The full-scale project is planned to be launched in the second half of this year.

Kwak Dal-won, CEO of HK Innoen, stated, “We will continue activities to strengthen access to pharmaceuticals in various ways, in line with the essence of pharmaceutical and bio companies.”
