The Green Run is an environmental protection activity that collects abandoned trash in urban areas, and this year, as well as last year, it was held around the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta. This area is a place where large sports events and various other events are frequently held, attracting large crowds, making activities such as trash picking and environmental cleanup necessary.

About 300 local university students belonging to KT&G Sangsang Univ Indonesia and about 100 employees of KT&G Indonesia Corporation participated in this volunteer activity. They walked together along a total 7.5 km section around the stadium while collecting trash.

KT&G is carrying out various social contribution activities in Indonesia. Since 2012, it has dispatched over 400 overseas volunteers to improve housing and educational environments, and in 2014, it established the KT&G Korean Language Institute, providing Korean language education and cultural experience opportunities to about 2,800 people so far. In 2021, KT&G opened a vocational training center at UKCW University in the Malang area to support education in sewing and computer skills for underprivileged groups.

A KT&G official stated, "As a company that has been operating in Indonesia for over 10 years, we have been continuously conducting various social contribution activities to solve local community problems and improve infrastructure," adding, "We hope this volunteer activity will serve as an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection in the Indonesian community."

Meanwhile, KT&G Sangsang Univ is a social contribution program operated by KT&G domestically and internationally to enhance university students' cultural literacy and employment capabilities. Since 2017, it has been operating Sangsang Univ composed of local university students in Indonesia.
