Operating Profit Turns Positive at 900 Million Won
Big data tech company InRifle announced on the 22nd that it recorded consolidated sales of 23.7 billion KRW and an operating profit of 900 million KRW in the second quarter of this year. Sales increased by 17% compared to the same period last year, and operating profit turned positive.
The company explained, "The second quarter sales were driven by our cash cow AI advertising platform ‘Mobion’," adding, "Mobion continuously introduces new services incorporating artificial intelligence (AI), securing a foundation to maintain stable performance."
The company also analyzed that the turnaround to profitability in the second quarter was mainly due to the improved performance of subsidiaries such as Mobiwid, which has been aggressively invested in over the past few years. Mobiwid is a startup that provides solutions enabling companies to easily utilize big data for business growth. It has built ad servers for numerous companies including AhnLab and Hancom, and continues to operate them successfully to this day.
InRifle plans to launch a subsidiary called ‘ANICK,’ a digital transformation solution specialist utilizing AI, in the second half of the year. The company aims to expand new businesses not only in the domestic market but also globally, while improving profitability.
Han Kyung-hoon, CEO of InRifle, said, "We are reaping the fruits of our efforts to prepare future growth engines through AI research and development and new business discovery," adding, "In the second half of the year, we will successfully promote new services with the goal of strengthening profitability and definitely achieve an annual profit."
