On the 19th, Samsung Biologics held a 'Samba Shaved Ice Truck' event providing shaved ice and churros sets to about 900 subcontractor workers at the antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) factory construction site in Songdo, Incheon. This event was organized to express gratitude to those working hard on the ADC factory construction during the hot and humid rainy season.

The three shaved ice trucks were operated for about three hours from 1 PM to 4 PM. Representing labor and management, Lee Gyu-ho, Vice President and Head of the People Center at Samsung Biologics, Park Jae-sung, Chairman of the Samsung Biologics Win-Win Labor Union, and members of the labor-management council personally handed out shaved ice to encourage the employees. The subcontractor employees enjoyed freshly made mango and injeolmi shaved ice and churros together with their colleagues in the cafeteria, cooling off from the midsummer heat.

Center Head Lee Gyu-ho said, “The rapid growth of Samsung Biologics as a global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) is due to the efforts and sweat of numerous partners,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to build a win-win cooperative relationship where the company and partners can grow together.” Labor union chairman Park Jae-sung also said, “Labor and management prepared this event with one heart and one mind to boost the morale of our partners in the heat,” and “We will continue to work with the company to establish a culture of mutual growth.”
