Fair Trade Commission conducts on-site investigation of Qoo10... Suspected violation of the Electronic Commerce Act

The Fair Trade Commission has launched an investigation into Qoo10, an online platform, over allegations of violating the Electronic Commerce Act.

According to industry sources on the 21st, the Fair Trade Commission recently sent investigators to Qoo10 Korea's headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to conduct an on-site investigation.

Qoo10 is a Singapore-based global e-commerce platform group that owns domestic online shopping companies TMON, WEMAKEPRICE, and Interpark Commerce as subsidiaries.

The Fair Trade Commission is reportedly investigating whether Qoo10 failed to fulfill its reporting obligations under the Electronic Commerce Act or deceived consumers through false or exaggerated advertisements.
