"No matter how hard I try, the door won't break... I panicked"
"Don't be complacent, everyone please be careful," urged
A story has been shared about a man who was trapped in a bathroom for over four hours while leaving his toddler alone in the living room before being rescued.
According to an online community on the 21st, a post was made on the 18th by Mr. A, an ordinary man in his 30s raising a one-year-old daughter.
Mr. A said, "I left my child in the living room and went to the bathroom. When the child started crying, I played music on my phone and entered the bathroom," adding, "After finishing, I tried to leave but the door wouldn’t open properly."
Mr. A, a physically strong man who majored in physical education and exercises regularly, initially did not take it seriously. He thought, "If trying various things doesn’t work, I’ll just break the door down and get out."

However, even after some time, the bathroom door did not open. The master bathroom was small and had no windows, making it difficult to breathe. Since Mr. A’s home was on the top floor, he tried shouting toward the drainage pipe.
Mr. A said, "After shouting several times, I started sweating and breathing heavily. It felt like I was short of oxygen, similar to wearing a gas mask during military training, and I felt dizzy," adding, "I kept telling myself not to panic as a form of mind control."
He tried various methods to open the door but to no avail, describing the urgent situation: "My whole body was sweating, I couldn’t breathe, and the child kept crying in the living room." Even jumping on the toilet and kicking the door with his weight did not move it.
Eventually, Mr. A was able to get out after being trapped in the bathroom for over four hours. His wife, who frequently checked the home CCTV, found it strange that the child was crying but Mr. A was nowhere to be seen, so she returned home. Mr. A explained, "I was trapped, and the child was exhausted," adding, "In the end, we called 119, and they broke the door down to get me out."
In conclusion, Mr. A urged, "Don’t take the bathroom for granted just because you use it every day. Please be careful. When going to the bathroom, take your phone with you or keep emergency tools handy," and finished his post by saying, "It may seem trivial, but I hope this helps even a few people."
