A famous Indian influencer with 300,000 followers died after falling into a canyon while filming a social media (SNS) video.

While filming photos and reels to post on Instagram, Kamdar suddenly lost her balance and slipped, falling 300 feet (about 91 meters) down a canyon. It took rescuers about six hours to retrieve Kamdar from the deep canyon after receiving a report. It was reported that continuous rain and rough terrain made the rescue operation difficult. The rescue team barely managed to pull Kamdar up and transport her to the hospital, but she died.

Subsequently, local administrators in Maharashtra urged tourists to prioritize safety and avoid dangerous behavior. Authorities are believed to be investigating the cause of the fall, assuming she was recording reels for her Instagram account.

This is not the first time influencers have lost their lives while taking selfies. In 2019, Taiwanese woman Wu Zhiyuan (36), known as the "bikini climber," died after falling into a valley while hiking. In 2021, Hong Kong influencer Sophia Cheng (32) also died after falling from a waterfall in Hapakrai Park while taking a selfie.

There have been continuous incidents of people dying while trying to take the perfect shot. In April, a Chinese woman died after falling off a cliff while taking photos at a famous volcanic crater in Indonesia. On the 7th (local time), a Spanish tourist was trampled to death by an elephant during a safari in a wildlife reserve in South Africa. The man was reportedly on a safari in a private vehicle with his fianc?e and two other women when he got out of the car to get closer to a herd of elephants to take photos, resulting in the tragedy.
