Jo Guk, a member of the National Assembly, was re-elected as the leader of the Joguk Innovation Party on the 20th.

Jo, the sole candidate, was elected as the new leader with a 99.9% approval rate in a yes-or-no vote held at the National Party Members' Convention at the Suwon Convention Center in Gyeonggi Province on the same day.

The Joguk Innovation Party had previously decided to determine the election outcome by a yes-or-no vote after Jo ran unopposed. He founded the Innovation Party in March, one month before the 22nd general election, and was appointed as leader through an acclamation process. He resigned from the leadership earlier this month to seek re-election.

Before the vote, Jo stated in his policy speech, "I will thoroughly expose the heinousness of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration and show what the end of prosecutorial dictatorship looks like," adding, "Especially, I will definitely achieve results in the 2026 local elections."

In the election for two Supreme Council members, Assemblyman Kim Seon-min (59.6%) and Hwang Myeong-pil, Chairman of the Ulsan City Party Committee (30.3%), were elected respectively.

The next leadership team will consist of five members: Leader Jo, Floor Leader Hwang Un-ha, Supreme Council members Kim Seon-min and Hwang Myeong-pil, and one appointed Supreme Council member.
