Shinhan Bank Offers Currency Exchange Event with In-Flight Duty-Free Discounts Using CU Gift Cards

Korean Air In-Flight Duty-Free Discount Coupon Event Held Simultaneously

Shinhan Bank announced on the 19th that it will launch the ‘Exchanged with Shinhan SOL Bank CU’ event starting from the 22nd for customers traveling abroad during the peak travel season.

The ‘Exchanged with Shinhan SOL Bank CU’ event targets customers who exchange 100 USD or more through ‘Shinhan SOL Bank’ until August 31, and 600 winners will be selected by lottery to receive a CU mobile gift certificate worth 5,000 KRW.

‘Shinhan SOL Bank’ allows currency exchange for 18 currencies including USD, JPY, and EUR, with exchange rate discounts of up to 90%. Exchanged foreign currency can be collected at the nearest Shinhan Bank branch or currency exchange ATM.

Along with the CU gift certificate event, Shinhan Bank is also running an event offering discount coupons for Korean Air’s in-flight duty-free ‘SKYSHOP’. Customers who exchange currency through ‘Shinhan SOL Bank’ can receive coupons or QR codes for discounts up to 50 USD at online and offline ‘SKYSHOP’, regardless of the exchange amount.

A Shinhan Bank official said, “We prepared this event for customers exchanging currency in line with the recent increase in overseas travel demand,” and added, “We will continue to implement abundant currency exchange events through various partnership projects.”

Meanwhile, Shinhan Bank is approaching 1 million customers for the ‘Shinhan SOL Travel Check Card’ launched last February, and in collaboration with Shinhan Card, released the ‘Shinhan SOL Travel Credit Card’ on the 15th. Additionally, they launched the ‘SOL Fast Overseas Remittance’ service, which allows easy remittance with only the recipient’s English name information, without requiring additional details such as account number, address, or phone number.
