According to the legal community on the 20th, Judge Seong Jun-gyu of the Criminal Division 10 at the Seoul Western District Court announced that Mr. A, who was indicted on charges of violating the Act on Subsidy Support, the Employment Insurance Act, and forgery of private documents, was sentenced to one year in prison with two years of probation.

From January 2018 to September 2022, Mr. A falsely registered workers and fabricated paid leave, fraudulently receiving a total of approximately 91 million won, combining 14.29 million won in Job Stability Funds and 77.18 million won in Employment Retention Support Funds.

The court stated, "Considering the method, frequency, and duration of the defendant's fraudulent receipt of Employment Retention Support Funds, the responsibility is heavy," but also noted, "The defendant has admitted to all the crimes and is remorseful, a significant portion of the fraudulently received funds has been recovered and penalties imposed, and some have been repaid through installment payments," explaining the reasons for sentencing.
