Kakao Mobility announced on the 19th that it has signed a "Business Agreement for the Extension of Corporate Partnership Board (CPB) Membership" with the International Transport Forum (ITF).

Through this agreement, Kakao Mobility will extend its CPB membership until 2027. It plans to participate in ITF-hosted events such as the Transport Ministers' Meeting and engage in international discussions and research activities related to transport policy and future mobility. Previously, Kakao Mobility was the first domestic private company to be invited as a CPB member in 2018 and has been active since then.

The ITF is an international organization under the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) that leads international cooperation on transport policy and spearheads discussions on future mobility topics such as autonomous driving, eco-friendly transportation, and the sharing economy. To collaborate with private companies, it operates the CPB. Thirty-four global companies, including Microsoft, Amazon, Airbus, and Uber, are active in the CPB. In South Korea, Kakao Mobility, Hyundai Motor Company, and Autocrypt participate.

Ryu Geung-seon, CEO of Kakao Mobility, said, "We will continue to work closely with ITF member countries and global companies to explore ways mobility companies can contribute to various challenges faced by the international community. We will strive to provide safe and responsible mobility services to citizens worldwide."

Kim Young-tae, Secretary-General of the ITF, stated, "We expect Kakao Mobility, which has led various mobility innovations in the domestic market, to contribute to solving international transport issues as a member of the ITF Corporate Partnership Board."
