Kyowon Wells announced on the 19th that its air purifier ‘Tornado’ won the top award, the ‘Energy Grand Prize and Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award,’ at the ‘27th Energy Winner Awards’ ceremony.
The Energy Winner Awards, held on the 18th at the Korea Press Center International Conference Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, is an event hosted by the Citizens’ Coalition for Economic Justice and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Environment, and the Korea Energy Agency. Since 1997, it has annually selected and awarded technologies with excellent energy efficiency and products with outstanding energy-saving effects.
The ‘Wells Air Purifier Tornado’ incorporates Kyowon Wells’ R&D capabilities by applying the ‘Tornado Suction System’ and ‘Aero Storm Fan,’ reducing noise while improving suction power and energy efficiency. Compared to the company’s previous models in the same class, this product reduces noise by 5dB, increases suction speed by three times, and consumes 1.4W less power. It achieves a top energy efficiency rating of Grade 1 and features a modular filter system that allows easy replacement of only the filter, excluding the frame, minimizing plastic usage and contributing to resource conservation.
Additionally, Kyowon Wells applied the enhanced Tornado Suction System to its new air purifier model ‘Air Garden,’ providing customers with improved performance and satisfaction along with energy savings.
A Kyowon Wells representative said, "We are pleased to have proven Kyowon Wells’ high-efficiency air purification technology through this award," adding, "We will continue to introduce technologies and products that contribute to energy savings and environmental protection."
