Samsung Electronics Home Appliances Achieve Most First-Place Rankings in US JD Power Customer Satisfaction Survey

Among 11 surveyed items, 10 ranked first
Dominating as the 'Best Kitchen and Laundry Appliance Brand'

Samsung Electronics announced on the 19th that it ranked first in the most categories in the '2024 Home Appliance Consumer Satisfaction Evaluation' released by the U.S. market research firm JD Power. It was also selected as the 'Best Kitchen and Laundry Appliance Brand.'

JD Power annually publishes brand rankings based on satisfaction surveys conducted with about 15,000 consumers who purchased products within the past year, evaluating seven categories including product durability, performance, ease of use, and design.

The survey covers 11 home appliance categories, and Samsung Electronics ranked first in 10 categories, including seven kitchen appliances and three laundry appliances. This is the highest number of first-place rankings among home appliance brands surveyed by JD Power, surpassing the nine category first-place record set in 2021.

▲ French Door (FDR) refrigerators ▲ Top Freezer, Bottom Refrigerator (TMF) refrigerators ▲ Side-by-Side (SBS) refrigerators ▲ Ranges ▲ Cooktops ▲ Over-the-Range Microwave (OTR Microwave) ▲ Built-in Ovens (Wall Oven) all ranked first, earning Samsung the title of best kitchen appliance brand.

In particular, the three refrigerator categories received the highest ratings across all seven evaluation criteria. The French Door refrigerator was ranked first for two consecutive years, and the Top Freezer, Bottom Refrigerator was ranked first for three consecutive years. Cooking appliances, including ranges, built-in ovens, cooktops, and over-the-range microwaves, all ranked first in their respective categories. Among these, the range received the highest scores in all evaluation categories, securing first place. The three laundry appliances?drum washing machines, automatic washing machines, and dryers?also received top ratings this year, continuing their performance from last year.

Choi Ik-su, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' DA Division, said, "Since 2019, Samsung home appliances have held the most first-place rankings among domestic appliance brands in JD Power evaluations." He added, "We will continue to actively target the U.S. market by showcasing Samsung's unique technological capabilities and various AI-based innovative features."
