On the 19th, LG Electronics announced that the UltraGear gaming monitors installed at the EWC venue and visitor experience booths in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, are receiving positive feedback from players and visitors. The tournament opened on the 3rd and will conclude on the 25th. Approximately 1,500 players are competing in 21 categories for prize money totaling about 60 million USD (approximately 83 billion KRW).
LG UltraGear has been selected as the official monitor of EWC. It is used in tournaments for games such as League of Legends (LoL), Counter-Strike 2, and Battlegrounds. Visitors at the venue also enjoy gaming on LG UltraGear monitors at various experience booths set up throughout the event.
In particular, the world's first 'LG UltraGear OLED gaming monitor,' which can switch resolution and refresh rate, attracted many visitors with its differentiated gaming features and sound quality.
This product allows users to switch between high refresh rate mode (FHD 480Hz) and high resolution mode (4K 240Hz) by pressing a dedicated button at the bottom of the monitor. High refresh rate mode is ideal for fast-paced racing games, while high resolution mode is suitable for high-definition games or videos.
The sound quality is also outstanding. For the first time in LG monitors, a technology that produces sound by vibrating film components has been applied. Unlike other monitors that send sound through side or rear speakers, this monitor projects sound toward the user in front, delivering immersive audio as if the characters in the video are speaking directly.
LG Electronics is participating as the official sponsor of the popular game LoL's domestic league (LCK) and European league (LEC) as part of YG customer-tailored marketing. It is also engaged in partnership activities with the global eSports company 'Gen.G Esports.'
Lee Yoon-seok, head of LG Electronics' IT Business Division, said, "Through various experience marketing tailored to YG customers' expectations, we will properly deliver LG UltraGear's differentiated gaming experience to global gamers."
