The Gyeonggi-do Northern Autonomous Police Committee received an institutional commendation from the Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Northern Autonomous Police Committee announced on the 19th that it was awarded the institutional commendation from the Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in the evaluation of autonomous police committee activities hosted by the Ministry on the 18th.
In this evaluation, the Northern Autonomous Police Committee received excellent ratings in five categories: ▲operation of the autonomous police committee ▲institutional cooperation and coordination ▲public awareness improvement and promotion ▲policy project implementation ▲efforts for committee development.
In particular, the committee’s first project, "Establishment of a One-Stop Protection System for Children in Crisis," received high praise. This project strengthens the joint response system among police officers related to child abuse (APO, Abuse Prevention Officers), local governments (officials in charge of abuse), and the private sector (child protection agencies), achieving the opening of the first Crisis Child Protection Center in Northern Gyeonggi in Paju City.
Lee Sang-ro, Chairman of the Northern Autonomous Police Committee, stated, "We will inherit and develop the committee’s excellent projects," and added, "We will continue to discover new distinctive projects tailored to the characteristics of the Northern Gyeonggi region, striving to ensure that all residents of Northern Gyeonggi can enjoy a peaceful daily life."
