The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 18th that it has signed a business agreement with four other provincial offices of education?Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, Gangwon, and Busan?at Hotel Hyundai Vira Han in Ulsan to jointly attract and manage overseas students.

Through this agreement, the five provincial offices of education will strengthen a joint response system regarding the attraction of overseas students, operation of educational programs for overseas students, establishment and mutual cooperation of dedicated organizations for attracting overseas students, and matters related to financial contributions from each province.
The Provincial Office of Education expects this agreement to foster cooperation among provincial offices in attracting overseas students, sharing cases of overseas student recruitment and management, and improving visa systems.
Superintendent Kim Dae-jung stated, “We will realize education that attracts students from around the world through policies that allow them to learn and pursue their dreams in Jeonnam,” adding, “I hope that close cooperation among provincial offices of education will accelerate the attraction of overseas students and the realization of glocal education.”
