The Stock Exchange of Thailand was established in 1974. Currently, with a market capitalization of approximately $463 billion (639 trillion KRW), it is the third largest market in ASEAN after Indonesia and Singapore. In 2014, it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on educational cooperation with the Association, and a training group including the Chairman of the Exchange visited the Association's training center for hands-on experience.

The Thai Exchange delegation benchmarked various know-how regarding the role of self-regulation in the Korean capital market and the Association's market support activities to support measures such as restrictions on high-frequency trading and short selling, which were strengthened to promote the listing of clean energy-related companies by the Thai government and stabilize the securities market.

Chairman Seo Yu-seok said, “Based on the long-standing capital market cooperation between Korea and Thailand, we will closely cooperate and support the Stock Exchange of Thailand when domestic member companies enter the Thai market in the future.”
