Hyosung TNS announced on the 18th that it held a board meeting and officially appointed Choi Bang-seop as the CEO. The newly appointed CEO Choi will officially start his duties from the 19th.
CEO Choi graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Mechanical Design Engineering and joined Samsung Electronics in 1987. He gained diverse experience in development, marketing, sales, and strategy, and served as the Head of Global Strategic Marketing for Samsung Electronics' Mobile Experience (MX) business in 2022.
He led Samsung Electronics' European sales division to achieve the number one position in the European TV market. While serving as the head of the mobile division at the U.S. subsidiary and as the Head of MX Strategic Marketing, he is credited with driving the global sales and market share expansion of Samsung smartphones worldwide.
Hyosung TNS expects to take a further leap in expanding its global markets such as the U.S. and Europe based on CEO Choi Bang-seop’s extensive experience and global mindset.
CEO Choi stated, "I will strengthen capabilities through enhanced internal communication and provide innovative solutions based on VOC to establish Hyosung TNS as a global leading company." He added, "We will evolve beyond being an ATM manufacturer to become a global payment leader that innovates customers’ everyday experiences and values."
Hyosung TNS, a global financial solutions company, supplies ATMs to 51 countries worldwide and holds the number one market share in South Korea, the U.S., and Indonesia. Recently, the company has been expanding its business areas to include retail kiosks and unmanned checkout counters.
