"Opened 40,000 Won Worth of Mulhoe, Only Cabbage Inside,
Less Than 15 Pieces of Sashimi... Felt Like a Waste of Money" Complaints Spark Netizen Debate "Lies" vs "Thought It Was Salad"
A consumer who ordered about 40,000 won worth of Mulhoe for delivery was reportedly very disappointed upon receiving the food.
On the 17th, a post titled "I ordered Mulhoe, but it's 90% cabbage" was uploaded on an online community. The author, Mr. A, revealed a photo of the Mulhoe, saying, "The price was close to 40,000 won, but there was almost no sashimi, and most of it was broth and cabbage."
Looking at the photo posted by Mr. A, the Mulhoe looks appetizing, but there are only a few pieces of sashimi. Most of the delivery container is filled with cabbage soaked in Mulhoe broth. In another photo where all the cabbage was removed for comparison, it can be seen that there are fewer than 15 pieces of sashimi and the container is filled mostly with cabbage.
Mr. A explained the situation, saying, "It was my day off after a long time, so I thought carefully before ordering, but it feels like such a waste of money." He added, "The sashimi tastes dull, probably because it's old, and combined, the sea squirt and sea cucumber pieces don't even reach 15." He continued, "I know small businesses are struggling these days, but this is a bit much," and clicked his tongue, saying, "It's the first time I've felt this way about wasting money on food delivery."
Netizens who read the story responded with comments such as, "I thought it was cabbage salad," "Isn't there too little sashimi?" "Make sure to attach photos in store reviews," "You should have just asked for a refund," and "Someone paid 40,000 won for cabbage salad."
On the other hand, some netizens raised suspicions that Mr. A maliciously took the photos while eating the food. They criticized Mr. A with comments like, "You should upload photos before eating. These days, many people file complaints just because they don't like the food after eating," "You should have taken photos as soon as you received it," and "Most of these stories are lies."
