Strengthening Cooperation for Nurturing Regional Core Talents
National Mokpo University (President Song Ha-cheol) and National Suncheon University (President Lee Byung-woon) have taken a step forward in cooperation.
According to Mokpo University on the 18th, President Song Ha-cheol of Mokpo University and President Lee Byung-woon of Suncheon University signed an agreement at 5 p.m. on the 17th at the Suncheon University headquarters to share regional issues and promote the development of both universities and the region.

The purpose of this agreement is to seek development plans for nurturing key local talents and global talents. Both universities promised to share human and material resources and to promote mutual growth between the universities and the region.
The agreement includes mutual cooperation in national financial support projects, sharing educational innovation cases, developing and operating programs to solve regional problems, jointly establishing an industry-academia cooperation system, and building regional innovation governance. Both universities agreed to actively cooperate on the agreed matters for mutual development.
President Song Ha-cheol of National Mokpo University stated, “Through various cooperative projects between the two universities, we expect to contribute to the development of the Jeonnam region and both universities,” adding, “The two universities will continue to create exemplary cases of regional development through cooperative projects aimed at nurturing key local talents and global talents.”
Through this agreement, both universities are expected to achieve greater academic and regional development. It is anticipated that they will set an example by enhancing the quality of education and pursuing virtuous cycle development through close cooperation with the local community.
