Construction of Urgench Vocational Training Center and 'Master Trainer' Education
The Korea University of Technology and Education's Developing Countries Technology Transfer Research Center will conduct an invited training program for teachers at the Teacher Training Center and vocational training instructors from Uzbekistan.
The Institute for Technology Transfer to Developing Countries at Korea University of Technology and Education is conducting an invitational training program for teachers from the Teacher Training Center and vocational training institutes in Uzbekistan.
This training is part of the 'Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for the Construction of the Urgench Vocational Training Center and Enhancement of the Vocational Training System in Uzbekistan,' and will continue until September 10.
The project focuses on establishing a vocational training center in the Urgench region, setting up a Teacher Training Center in Tashkent (the capital), strengthening vocational training skills and teacher competencies, introducing a qualification examination system, fostering highly skilled technical personnel, and enhancing the industrial competitiveness of Uzbekistan.
The participants of the training are 15 teachers from the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, including those from the qualification examination and teacher training institute, as well as vocational training centers in four regions including Tashkent.
During the training period, participants will engage in activities such as strengthening teaching competencies, enhancing understanding of education and training operations, attending lectures and discussions on the latest vocational training technologies in pedagogy and engineering, and collaborative learning.
Teachers who complete the training will serve as master trainers, responsible for training other vocational teachers in Uzbekistan.
Professor Yoon Gwansik said, "This training aims to enhance the technical and educational competencies of master trainers who will teach local trainers at the National Training and Qualification Teacher Training Institute (NTQTTI) established to strengthen the capabilities of vocational trainers in Uzbekistan," and added, "I hope that through this, excellent technicians needed by Uzbekistan will be produced and contribute to the country's industrial development."
