Event Postponed to July 20-21 Due to Rain Forecast
Family Summer Vacation... "See You in Three Weeks"
The "Ai! Sinna Festival Summer Water Playground," which was scheduled to be held this weekend at the Seocheon Riverside Gangbaram Playground, has been postponed for three weeks due to rain.
Yeongju City, North Gyeongsang Province, has decided to postpone the event, which was originally planned for the two days from July 20 to 21, to August 10 to 11, considering the safety of visitors due to the forecast of rain.
Park Namseo, Mayor of Yeongju, said, "As the schedule has been postponed, we will make even more thorough preparations to provide citizens with an opportunity to enjoy water play with their children without having to travel far," and added, "I hope that on the second weekend of August, the whole family will come and enjoy their summer vacation at Gangbaram Playground together."
In line with the new schedule, the city will set up two water pools and three water slides in the Gangbaram Playground parking lot. The pools will operate twice daily, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., for a total of four sessions. Each session is limited to 80 people. Registration can be done on-site 30 minutes before each session begins.
The Ai! Sinna Festival is a play festival where children and families can participate together, utilizing the Ai! Sinna Gangbaram Playground and indoor playground, which are created in the pleasant environment of the Seocheon riverside, a resting space for citizens. In May, the festival featured the Myeongnang Golden Bell quiz; in August, water play; in September, a cartoon theme song contest; and in November, a family Yutnori competition will be held.
