The Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) Gwanggyo New Headquarters won the President's Award of the Korean Land and Urban Planning Society in the residential, commercial, and office complex category at the '2024 Korea Land Awards' hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and others.

Now in its 16th year, the Korea Land Awards is a competition with the slogan "Elegant Land, Beautiful Landscape," aimed at strengthening national and urban competitiveness by discovering and awarding excellent cases in land, urban, and landscape design.

The GH Gwanggyo New Headquarters was honored with the award for its excellence in design and efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by maximizing renewable energy production.

Located within the Gwanggyo Gyeonggi Convergence Town, the GH New Headquarters consists of 5 basement floors and 17 above-ground floors, featuring the largest-scale color BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) system in Korea, a geothermal energy facility system to maximize renewable energy production, and a rooftop solar power generation system.

Kim Seyong, President of GH, stated, "I believe we were highly evaluated for completing an energy-saving office facility aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by leading the public sector in adopting smart new technologies. We will also take the lead in realizing spatial welfare by opening four lower floors of the Gwanggyo headquarters to the local community as a place for communication."
