Yeongyang County in North Gyeongsang Province held a resident briefing session on the Yeong&Young Eco-Healing Area Road Connection Project at the Yeongyang-eup Administrative Welfare Center on the 17th, attended by more than 40 people including provincial and county council members and local residents, to gather opinions.

The Yeong&Young Eco-Healing Area Road Connection Project is a key pledge of the 8th popularly elected county governor. Over the next three years starting in 2024, a budget of 3 billion KRW will be invested to construct connecting roads to improve access to attractions such as the Samji Lotus Theme Park, thereby enhancing convenience for visitors and improving the quality of life and living environment for local residents.
The briefing session was held following the completion of the basic planning study, sharing information on the project scale, route, implementation direction, and future schedule. It also served as an opportunity to gather various opinions on adjustments to pedestrian and bicycle path sections, installation of streetlights, and more.
County Governor Oh Dochang attended the briefing and stated, "We ask for the active participation and cooperation of local residents in the construction of connecting roads to utilize Samji, which boasts both natural and cultural infrastructure."
