Promoting Revitalization of Agro-Industrial Complexes through Regulatory Reform and Resolving Business Difficulties
Gyeongnam Province and Hapcheon County held a 'On-site Consulting and Corporate Difficulties Resolution Meeting for Agro-Industrial Complexes' on the 3rd floor of the Hapcheon County Office's main conference room on the 17th, targeting companies located in the agro-industrial complexes within Hapcheon County to develop strategies for revitalizing these complexes.
The agro-industrial complexes in Hapcheon County have become significantly outdated, having been completed over 30 years ago. The small youth population in the county makes it difficult to secure enough workers, and companies are facing economic challenges such as finding new markets amid a sluggish economy.
Gyeongnam Province and Hapcheon County are conducting a visiting industrial complex consulting meeting to resolve corporate difficulties.
In response, Gyeongsangnam-do and the county have promoted on-site consulting for agro-industrial complexes, establishing a platform for communication with resident companies, listening to their difficulties directly, and preparing swift improvement measures to transform the complexes into business-friendly, customized environments.
The main topics of the consulting included: ▲Policy guidance on difficulties in securing workers ▲Plans for building dormitories for youth and foreign employees ▲Information on regulatory changes, such as the government's efforts to abolish 'killer regulations' (restrictions on business types, land use, etc.) in agro-industrial complexes ▲Consulting on various issues faced by companies, such as improving outdated facilities.
The county plans to quickly reflect the issues raised during the on-site consulting in the management of the agro-industrial complexes through cooperation with relevant agencies and Gyeongsangnam-do, and will actively seek ways to revitalize the complexes by proposing necessary institutional improvements to central government ministries.
A county official stated, "We plan to make efforts so that Hapcheon County's agro-industrial complexes become vibrant places that attract young people," adding, "We will actively review the difficulties faced by our companies so they can focus solely on production activities, and strive to create a complex that is ideal for business operations."
